Rare Mahogany Brass Bound Bottle Cooler, late 18th C., with pierced handle and shaped rim, the sides with three brass bands and the top edge with a line of boxwood stringing. English, circa 1780. Originally with a tin liner.

Provenance: The Harry Z. Isaacs Collection from Historic Long Branch Estate, Virginia*

Fine Pair of French Brass Urns with two handles, raised relief of floral sprays on the sides, and with rouge marble bases. Late 19th century.

Fine 18th century English single compartment tea caddy in harewood, having hinged rectangular top with boxwood stringing and bone pull and escutcheon opening to an inner lid. Circa 1780.

Rare Antique Chinese Export red lacquer melon-form tea caddy with six loebed sides, three gilt dragon paw feet, gilt decoration of figures in gardens on body and hinged lid with carved “stem,” opening to a similarly shaped tin liner. Circa 1825. Height, 5.5”; Diameter, 6.25” Gourds and mellons had a particular significance in Chinese culture.

Exceptional Pair of Italian Bronze and Ormolu Candlesticks with nicely detailed foliate decoration and with good patina and fine castings. Having a removable ormolu drip pan above a bronze candle cup and supported by a turned and foliate decorated column with a tripartite scrolling ormolu base and mounted on a tripartite bronze plinth. These would have been brought home as a souvenir by someone who had made the Grand Tour. Italy, circa 1870. 5" x 5" x 13"tall

Fine George III Oval Brass Bound Peat Bucket with mahogany staves and brass banding, liner and loop handle. English, Circa 1780. 13" x 10" x 12.5" (not including handle)

Charming American Miniature Blanket Chest in chestnut, having a hinged moulded edge top opening to a well, a single lower drawer and raised on straight bracket feet. Note the fine dovetail work on the sides.

American 1780-1800.

Many miniatures are labeled as "salesman's samples" but many were the work of apprentices to show their skills to the master craftsman.

Exceptional George III bachelor’s chest in nicely figured mahogany with good color and patina, having a rectangular, cross banded top above an oak brushing slide and four graduated drawers flanked by canted, reeded corners and raised on straight bracket feet. Rare George III Tea Caddy with Hidden Drawer, rectangular with stepped hinged top surmounted by a brass carrying handle, brass escutcheon and sliding side panel revealing a hidden drawer (patch above keyhole, lacks interior dividers).

One of the rarest of this form of tea caddy, the concealed drawer would have held your silver teaspoons.

Rare 18th century fruit wood tea caddy in the form of a large apple, having a circular hinged lid with carved “stem” opening to a tin-lined interior; lock and escutcheon are original, hinge is replaced (repair to lid). Probably Continental, circa 1760-80.

Rare English Regency Hawksbill and Greenback Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy with ivory and pewter stringing, having cut corners and a bowed front panel with pressed tortoise in concentric ovals with fan corners and central inlaid silver oval with leafage border; the bowed lid surmounted by a ball finial and the whole raised on ball feet. Rare set of English Regency bedsteps in mahogany with caned sides and back, having a turned gallery above three tooled leather treads, the first with tambour doors below, the second now with drawer below. Circa 1800-1815.
