Tiny Regency Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy, probably a childs caddy, rectangular with canted corners, pyramidal lid opening to an interior lined with "tea paper" and the whole raised on ivory squashed ball feet. (with key)

Antique Sorrento-ware Book Form Trick Box; in olivewood, with a rectangular book form lid with marquetry inlay of a musician and dancing couple, the front with a hidden keyhole, and a hidden compartment in the base.

Unusual Wood Tea Caddy or Tobacco Box in the form of a doghouse with brass nails and door surround and with a brass dog sitting outside. It opens by gently lowering the dog's hinged head which releases the peaked roof form lid which opens to a tin lined interior. The whole is mounted on a plinth base with brass beading. Circa 1870, probably Black Forest.

Fine 18th century English single compartment tea caddy in harewood, having hinged rectangular top with boxwood stringing and bone pull and escutcheon opening to an inner lid. Circa 1780.

#530 Antique Anglo-Indian Tea Chest, sandalwood overlaid with strips of elk horn. The box is rectangular with sloped sides. The elk horn on the top of the stepped, sloping lid arranged in a starburst pattern. The fitted interior is decorated with incised ivory panels, highlighted with lac, a similarly decorated pair of removable caddies and a circular cut crystal sugar bowl and a horn caddy spoon. (The squashed ball feet are later replacements. Lid lack support)...

Chinese Export Black Lacquer Tea Chest, rectangular with cut corners and lobbed body with gilt decoration of figures in courtyards; the stepped, hinged lid opening to two pewter lidded and engraved caddies and the whole raised on gilt dragon-form feet. Large Georgian Tea Chest in nicely figured mahogany; rectangular with quarter column corners, having a stepped lid surmounted by a brass carrying handle and opening to a fitted interior retainiing two tin tea caddies and a sugar box and the whole raised on ogee bracket feet. English, Circa1780.

Very Rare Set of Paint Decorated Glass Tea Caddies and a Sugarbowl, rectangular with sloped shoulders, the sugarbowl surmounted by a flower form glass urn. It is our belief that this was for a small sugarloaf from which chunks would have been cut (with sugar nips) and added to the sugarbowl. Minor Losses to Decoration

Charming American Miniature Blanket Chest in chestnut, having a hinged moulded edge top opening to a well, a single lower drawer and raised on straight bracket feet. Note the fine dovetail work on the sides.

American 1780-1800.

Many miniatures are labeled as "salesman's samples" but many were the work of apprentices to show their skills to the master craftsman.

French, probably TAHAN, late 19th Century.

Rare Antique Chinese Export red lacquer melon-form tea caddy with six loebed sides, three gilt dragon paw feet, gilt decoration of figures in gardens on body and hinged lid with carved “stem,” opening to a similarly shaped tin liner. Circa 1825. Height, 5.5”; Diameter, 6.25” Gourds and mellons had a particular significance in Chinese culture.
