Carved Wooden Top Hat

Set of Four Hammered and Silvered Bronze Arts and Crafts Candlesticks, Early 20th Century, Unmarked. 13" high.

Model of a Royal Carriage, realistically detailed with an ebonized carved wood and gilt decorated coach with one working door. Resting on a working metal suspension undercarriage and wheels, one removable trunk.

Late 19th/Early 20 C

H 13 in. x W 41 in. over all, coach 28 in. x D 9 in.

Art Nouveau Vase by the Amphora Pottery, Turn Teplitz, Austria, decorated with moulded leaves with gilt stems, stamped base. Circa 1905-10, attributed to Paul Daschel.

Fine Antique English Canterbury in Walnut, having four pierced partitions with “C” scroll carved decoration above a single drawer and raised on turned ball form feet with brass casters. Circa 1850-1870

An Antique Cinnabar Chinese carved tea jar. Carved in high relief with figures in a garden landscape. Some carved flowers on the lid and shoulder of the jar.

Alexandria, VA had a thriving salt-glazed stoneware industry throughout most of the 19th Century. Many pieces are marked with the makers name and "ALEXa" or "DC/ALEXa". Some common makers were John Swann, B.C. Milburne, H.C. Smith and E.J.Miller (a retailer). We are always interested in purchasing examples of Alexandria stoneware. Antique Sorrento-ware Book Form Trick Box; in olivewood, with a rectangular book form lid with marquetry inlay of a musician and dancing couple, the front with a hidden keyhole, and a hidden compartment in the base.

Late 19th, early 20th C.

Most likely French, 19th century, snuff/pill box, However, it clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, as well as the loose hand-painted nature of the lid identify this box as a nineteenth century creation.

Very good condition. Some loss to interior enamel and on the underside.
