Mother and Children
by: Timoleon Mari Lobrichon (French, 1831- 1914)
Painter, born in Cornod, April 26,1931 and died in Paris in January 1914. A student of Picot, he debuted at the Paris Salon in 1859 and won a medal in 1860 and was named Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in 1882, Lobrichon is often celebrated for his portraits of children. He also exhibited in Germany and Melbourne. Museums that hold his works are in Amsterdam,Besancon and Limoges.
