Rare Chinese Export Roll Top Lap Desk, Asian Hardwoods with ebony and brass mounts having single lower drawer that when opened reveals a fitted interior, sloped writing surface and "pop-up" storage compartment with tambour doors. Circa 1830.

Three Watercolours by Miriam Mable Hooper British (1872-1953)

Miriam Hooper was a watercolor artist specializing in landscapes and rural scenes. Born in Redhill in 1872, her father was Thomas Rowland Hooper, an architect and surveyor. She studied at the Croydon School of Art, where Charles Shanon was teaching. Her brother Vincent married Tatton Winter's daughter and that Reigate artist became her tutor and a great influence on her style.

Antique Dutch Turned Mahogany Peat Bucket having tapering staved sides with molded and ring turnings and with brass liner and carrying handle. Holland, circa 1820 Height to Rim: 12.5" Diameter: 12.5"

Most likely French, 19th century, snuff/pill box, However, it clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, as well as the loose hand-painted nature of the lid identify this box as a nineteenth century creation.

Very good condition. Some loss to interior enamel and on the underside.
